Rebel Climate Action Plan (CAP) Annual Progress Report 2025 Now Available

UNLV has posted the Rebel Climate Action Plan (CAP) Annual Progress Report 2025, marking the first progress update since the Rebel CAP launched in fall 2024. The report provides a transparent look at initiatives, project timelines, and early indicators of progress related to the university’s sustainability efforts. It outlines UNLV’s long-term goal of reaching carbon neutrality by 2057 through the “100 by 100” initiative, along with ongoing work in renewable energy, sustainable operations, and academic integration. This inaugural report reflects a year of collaboration among students, faculty, staff, and community partners.

The report also highlights early actions, including waste reduction pilots, sustainability-focused curriculum and research assessments. These efforts help establish a strong foundation for informed decision-making and future planning. While the work is still in its early stages, it demonstrates meaningful momentum toward a more sustainable campus. The full report is available on the Rebel CAP webpage.
