Queer Lit Tag-a-thon Oct. 1

Celebrate the first day of Las Vegas Pride on Thursday, Oct.1 by helping make queer literature easier to find!

The Queer Lit Awards guide brings together nearly 3,000 winners and finalists from three major LGBTQIA+ literary award programs spanning more than 50 years. During this hands-on tag-a-thon, volunteers will help describe these titles using a shared vocabulary that allows readers to browse the collection by genre, theme, identity, and setting.

The event, which runs from 2:30-3:45 p.m. in the Rhyolite Room at Lied Library, is open to all UNLV students, staff, and faculty. Please register to attend.

No cataloging or library experience is required. We’ll demonstrate the tagging tool at the beginning and provide help throughout the session.

Bring a laptop if you have one; a limited number will also be available to borrow.
