Today, Oct. 16, at exactly 10:16 a.m., colleges and universities in the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) will take part in the annual Great Nevada ShakeOut, a statewide earthquake drill. The exercise gives students, faculty, and staff a chance to practice life-saving actions and improve readiness in the event of an earthquake.
The Great Nevada ShakeOut is part of a global campaign promoting earthquake safety.
