Marlow Early Childhood Education Campus Grand Opening on Wednesday, Aug. 5

Access to affordable early childhood education is critical for the long-term success of Nevada's children. The College of Education is taking steps and making strides in improving the quantity and access to quality care on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 10:30 a.m., when we'll cut the ribbon and officially open the Marlow Early Childhood Education Campus.

The campus includes the Lynn Bennett Early Childhood Education Center and the UNLV/CSUN Preschool, which has served thousands of children in the past 50 years. The new campus expands the preschool's capacity and includes space for additional early childhood and special education research as well as community outreach activities.

The event includes brief remarks from Interim President Heavey, Interim Dean Joe Morgan, and other campus leaders, as well as a special sand ceremony featuring representatives of the preschool's five-decade history. In addition, we will cut the ceremonial paper chain and offer tours and refreshments after the event.
