March Administrative Faculty of the Month Award Winner: Megan Kolvenbach

Congratulations to Megan Kolvenbach for receiving the Administrative Faculty of the Month Award for March 2026. Kolvenbach serves as the advising innovation manager within the Office of the Associate Vice Provost for Student Success at UNLV. Her nominators wrote:

“Megan has revolutionized the training process for both current and new staff by replacing dense manuals with a creative “refresher course” of short, engaging videos and a weekly digest email newsletter. These resources have made essential information more accessible, efficient, and digestible for advisors campus-wide. Guided by a strong sense of empathy and a talent for problem-solving, Megan consistently advocates for more effective and streamlined practices that make the advising experience better for both staff and students. Megan inspires leadership with her inquisitive nature to learn about the true experiences of others. She approaches collaboration with an open mindset and invites others to engage in proactive discussions with her, which then leads to the generation of solutions-based ideas. She is patient and approachable when working with others, especially in times of frustration. It is evident in her work that she is considerate of others and ensures that they feel supported by her at all times.”

The Administrative Faculty of the Month award recognizes outstanding colleagues who go above and beyond in their duties in advancing UNLV’s mission. The winning recipient receives a certificate and $150 in recognition of their contributions. Nominations for the April 2026 award are due by April  30, 2026
