Make and Receive Calls Using Your UNLV Extension with Webex

UNLV employees can use the Webex App to make and receive calls from their campus phone number using a computer or mobile device. The app provides access to campus calling services without requiring a physical desk phone, and it is available at no cost to faculty and staff with a university phone number.
Webex supports a variety of calling and communication features, including:

  • Calling: Make, receive, transfer, and forward calls using your UNLV extension.
  • Voicemail: Access and manage messages directly in the app.
  • Accessibility: Use live closed captions and transcriptions during calls.
  • AI assistance: Generate call summaries and action items using the Cisco AI Assistant.

The Webex App is available for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android devices. Employees can download it through the Software Center or follow the installation instructions on the UNLV Telecommunications Webex App webpage.

Users who have a phone number assigned to their ACE account are already configured for Webex app usage and may download, install, and sign in using their UNLV credentials. If you do not have a number assigned to your account, please submit a request through the Administrative Services portal.

If a number is assigned to a workspace (such as a classroom or conference room) rather than a person, you may also submit a service request through the portal to configure the workspace for Webex usage.

For questions, please contact Telecommunications.
