Lecture: “Privacy and Private Life in Jewish and Christian Ego Documents in the Early Modern Netherlands” Feb. 12

The Department of History research seminar and the Jewish Studies steering committee invite all interested members of the UNLV community to a lecture this Thursday, Feb. 12, from 1p.m. to 2 p.m. on "Privacy and Private Life in Jewish and Christian Ego Documents in the Early Modern Netherlands" in the History Department conference room (WRI B 326).

The speaker is Michaël Green, university professor at the Filip Friedman Centre for Jewish Studiesand the Institute of History at the University of Lodz, specializing in early modern history and notions of privacy. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Groningen in 2013 and focuses on cultural history and Dutch history.

The talk is the first in a series of small lectures and discussions titled, "Tapestries: Conversations in Jewish Studies," intended to introduce the academic field of Jewish studies to the UNLV community. The talk is open to all members of the community or the public.
