As a new semester rolls around, information technology experts have some tech tips to save time and be best prepared for the fall.
- Re-enroll or set up eduroam WiFi before coming to campus. Go to wifi.unlv.edu on your device and follow the instructions. Once it's set up, your device will automatically connect to eduroam when you're on campus.
- If you’re getting a new phone, you’ll need to set up Okta Verify multifactor authentication (MFA) on your new device before trading it in or contact the IT Help Desk to help reset your MFA.
- Make sure you can log into your ACE account before the first day of the semester. If you forgot your ACE password, reset it to quickly access your UNLVMail, Workday, and MyUNLV accounts as the semester starts.
- In WebCampus, pick navigation links that work best for your class content and remove ones not being used to stay organized. Set up the grade entry feature to directly transfer final grades from WebCampus to MyUNLV to eliminate extra steps.
- Panopto Assignment Folders will be created automatically when you or your students interact with Panopto in your course with no more manual setup needed.
