Before you turn in or replace your current device, quickly add multifactor authentication (MFA) on a secondary device to guarantee you don’t lose access to your ACE account.
Although the Okta Verify app will transfer over to your new device, you’ll be logged out and asked to sign in again using your ACE login. If you have Okta Verify set up on a secondary device, like a tablet, you can instantly verify your identity and easily log back into Okta Verify.
Laura Gardner, IT Help Desk Manager, explained that MFA resets are one of the most frequent Help Desk requests. Having Okta Verify, or another MFA method, installed on another device prevents you from getting locked out of your ACE account and having to contact the IT Help Desk.
If you get locked out of your ACE account, you will need to call or visit the IT Help Desk. MFA resets cannot be done through email and will require you to verify your identity.
