Don't Miss the Deadline: Call for Proposals for the 2026 RCCN Career Showcase April 30

On behalf of the RCCN, we are thrilled to announce the call for proposals for our 2026 Rebel Career Champions Network (RCCN) Career Showcase!

This event is designed to be a high-energy celebration of how our campus makes career readiness visible, intentional, and impactful. Rather than a traditional competition, this is a way to highlight the brilliant work happening across UNLV to prepare our students for what comes next.

Event Details

  • Date/Time: April 30, 2026 - 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Location: Student Union
  • Format: A "stroll-the-floor" poster, presentation, or lightning talk option | Including a celebratory mixer.

Call for Proposals: What We’re Looking For

We are seeking presentations that showcase excellence in one of four specific categories.

Submission Tracks include:

  • Student Highlights: Authentic career stories (RCCN Student Subcommittee members are encouraged to apply, as well).
  • Career Classes: Showcasing course outcomes and sample assignments.
  • Career-Related Assignments: Highlighting specific projects linked to career readiness.
  • Career Strategies/Resources: Sharing best practices and tools that impact the student body.

Why Participate? (The Perks)

Each category will be eligible for a "People’s Choice" award via PollEV, with the four honorees receiving a featured story in UNLV Today.

  1. Most Impactful: Projects that demonstrate significant, measurable growth in student career outcomes.
  2. Most Inspirational: Stories of student transformation and personal career journeys.
  3. Most Innovative: Unique, "outside-the-box" approaches to career integration.
  4. Most Interesting: Surprising insights, niche career strategies, or creative resources.

While this is a non-monetary showcase, we are committed to building your professional capital:

  • Digital Credentials: All participants will receive the “Rebel Career Champion – Expo Participant” digital badge.
  • Professional Documentation: You may include this highlight in your annual evaluations and tenure/promotion dossiers.
  • Advanced Recognition: Top presentations may qualify for a Demonstration Badge, a higher-tier credential requiring a brief reflection on career competency alignment.
  • Visibility: All presenters will be featured in an online RCCN gallery.

  • April 1, 2026 by EOD: Final proposal submission deadline.
