Cisco AI Assistant Now Live in Webex

Calls made or received in the Webex App may now use the Cisco AI Assistant. This tool:

  • Summarizes and transcribes calls in real time
  • Identifies action items for follow up
  • Securely stores this information in call history
  • Provides opt-in flexibility on a call-by-call basis
  • Allows transfer summaries and transcriptions between Webex users

Additionally, this tool was designed with privacy in mind. The AI Assistant in-call summaries and transcripts for unrecorded calls are a transient, user-centric feature. The live summaries and transcripts are generated on demand in the client and aren’t stored in a central archive.

For more details on these and other features offered by the Cisco AI Assistant, please see the Webex Collaboration blog post.

Getting started is as simple as clicking the AI Assistant button while on an active call in the Webex App for Windows or macOS. There is no additional cost associated with this feature.

The Telecommunications team is excited to bring this new tool to campus and support solutions that make day-to-day work easier and more efficient. Thank you for your continued partnership.
