The Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) requires all administrative faculty to be evaluated annually. As we begin this year's review cycle, we appreciate the time and thought that employees and supervisors invest in this important process.
All evaluations for non-academic units will be assigned on July 1, 2026 and will be due on Sept. 1, 2026.
The performance review process is intended to be a fair and balanced assessment of an employee’s performance. It is an opportunity for employees and those who supervise them to review their performance over the past year, give and receive feedback, celebrate successes, identify areas where improvement is needed, clarify job duties and expectations, and set goals for the coming year.
- Employees with four or more months of service during the evaluation period (March 1, 2026 for fiscal year) should be evaluated on job performance and goal accomplishment.
- Supervisors do not need to complete evaluations for employees with fewer than four months of service during the evaluation period. However, it is necessary to establish goals and objectives for these employees so they can be evaluated for the next evaluation period. Use the evaluation to document these goals and objectives.
All aspects of the process, from self assessment to final approvals, will be completed in REBELPerform:
- Supervisors will receive notifications about due dates for the upcoming review period
- Documents will automatically route for review / approval
- Finalized documents will be stored in the system for quick reference
Supervisors must complete the performance evaluation in REBELPerform, which includes comments and feedback on performance, goals and objectives, and professional development and a summary rating: excellent, commendable, satisfactory, or unsatisfactory.
Employees are encouraged to complete a self-evaluation before their supervisor completes their evaluation. The self-evaluation is an opportunity for employees to evaluate their performance from their own perspective and ensure their achievements are noted.
