More than 200 people within the UNLV community gathered Saturday to honor the victims of the 2023 deadly shooting.

Two years after a gunman killed three UNLV professors and seriously injured another, the college says it has plans to construct a healing garden that memorializes the tragedy.

The event will run from 3:30-5 p.m. on Feb. 27.

During a public comment period, UNLV Faculty Senate Chair Bill Robinson said the last search wasn’t conducted during the hiring season in higher education, which is advertising in the fall and hiring in the spring.
