Rafael Oganesyan (Undergraduate Research) and Christian Jensen (Political Science) had an article, "Compelled Voters and Accountability in Australia," published in the Journal of Elections, Public Opinion and Parties. The authors found that compelled voters are less likely to rely on pocketbook perceptions of the economy when voting for the incumbent.

Daniel Benyshek (Anthropology) and Sharon Young (Anthropology and Undergraduate Research) and colleagues published the first clinical trial exploring the effects of human maternal placentophagy, the practice of eating one's placenta after giving birth. Forty undergraduates recently were awarded scholarships through the office of undergraduate research's summer undergraduate research funding (OUR SURF) program.
