Thomas Piechota has been named interim vice president for research and dean of the Graduate College, effective July 1, 2012.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Sept. 28, in the Student Union Ballroom for the longtime sociology professor and vice president for research. He passed away June 23.

This monthly award program recognizes classified staff employees who go above and beyond and contribute an extra something while on the job.
