The north end of the Las Vegas Strip is brimming with change, and now one of its most recognizable landmarks, Circus Circus, is officially on the market. Billionaire casino mogul Phil Ruffin, who purchased the property in 2019 for $825 million, has confirmed he’s seeking buyers for the 102-acre property, valuing it at an astounding $5 billion.

Assistant professor-in-residence Michael Chin (Honors College) published a work of creative non-fiction with Eunoia Review, titled "RUN-HIDE-FIGHT." The essay pairs reflections on his experience teaching at UNLV during the tragic events of Dec. 6, 2023, with experiences from his youth
Gillian Gottlieb (Honors College; Nursing) with Corrin Sullivan, Dale Netski, and Kavita Batra (all Medicine) published an article, "Anxiety and Depression Among College Students in the Post-COVID-19 Phase," in the Journal of Medicine, Surgery, and Public Health.

Michael Green (History; Honors) was elected to membership in the American Antiquarian Society, based in Worcester, Massachusetts. It is a national research library and learned society founded in 1812.

Members of Alpha Epsilon Delta, the American Medical Student Association, Project Wellness, and other UNLV students participated in assembling hygiene and health kits for the unhoused. In all, 20 students participated in this project, resulting in 153 kits that will be given to the unhoused. Next week, the kits will be delivered to local Las Vegas…
