The McNair Scholars program is diversifying the ranks of American faculty and research institutions by encouraging and preparing undergraduate students who are members of underrepresented groups to pursue doctoral studies. Students get paid research internships, faculty mentoring, and support services for getting into graduate school. Here's how four UNLV McNair Scholars spent their summers.
