UNLV Wind Orchestra invites you to an afternoon of extraordinary artistry and electrifying entertainment featuring one of the most influential musicians of our time, Christian Lindberg, at 2 p.m. on April 12 in Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall. Professors Thomas G. Leslie and Dr. Zane S. Douglass conduct.
Tickets are $20 and available at the UNLV Performing Arts Center box office, online, or by calling 702-895-ARTS (2787). Discounts are available.
Lindberg, named “Greatest Brass Player in History” by Classic FM, has redefined the possibilities of the trombone. Often compared to Paganini on the violin and Liszt on the piano, his influence extends far beyond performance — he has premiered over 300 works, recorded 150 solo albums, and shaped the future of brass music as a conductor, composer, and soloist.
Lindberg will take the podium as guest conductor and also perform as a featured soloist, joining the UNLV Wind Orchestra for what promises to be a landmark event in Las Vegas’ musical landscape.
Recognized as one of the premier collegiate ensembles in the nation, the UNLV Wind Orchestra has set a standard of excellence in wind band performance.
