UNLV Opera Theatre is proud to present "Sur la Table" — a unique collaboration with Nevada Conservatory Theatre and the department of film — April 23-30.
Shirley Chisholm said, "If they don’t give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair.” Women definitely find their seat at the table in this pastiche production featuring scenes from Bizet’s Carmen, Auber’s Manon Lescaut, and Massenet’s Manon and Le Cid. The production also showcases Frank Pesci’s new one-act opera Royal Flush, in which four sisters and their mother play a spirited and revelatory game of poker. From their poker game to the famous card trio from Carmen, a lot happens Sur la table when women have a seat at it.
Please note: Royal Flush contains adult language.
