Acclaimed actress, model, and best-selling author Brooke Shields will headline the next installment of the UNLV Barrick Lecture Series at 7:30 p.m. on April 20 in the Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall.
A global icon whose career has spanned decades, Shields has shaped and redefined what it means to grow up in the spotlight. From her early rise as one of the most recognizable faces in the world to her work as an actress, author, and entrepreneur, she continues to evolve and lead conversations that matter.
Her latest New York Times bestselling book, Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old, challenges cultural expectations around aging, while her documentary, Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields, has sparked national dialogue on agency, identity, and growing up in the public eye.
In her talk, "From Icon to Author: Brooke Shields on Life in the Spotlight," Shields will reflect on her extraordinary journey and share insights on reinvention, resilience, and navigating public life across generations.
