Virko Baley, distinguished professor and composer-in-residence, retires from the School of Music after 46 years of service. To celebrate his body of work, the School will host a "les adieux" concert at 7:30pm on Monday, May 2 in the Doc Rando Recital Hall of the Beam Music Center. Admission is free, and a reception in the lobby will follow.

The program includes several pieces of his work performed by guest soloists Denis Savelyev, Radoslawa Jasik, John Duykers, Timothy Bonenfant, Arsenia Soto, and Marie Plette. Additional soloists include Stephanie Weiss, Timothy Hoft, Wei Wei Lei, Yuri Cho, Andrew Smith, and Christina Wright-Ivanova.
