UNLV Jazz Ensemble I, directed by Dave Loeb and Nathan Tanouye, head to Monterey this weekend to perform at the Monterey Jazz Festival - an honor they earned by winning the 2017 Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival this past Spring. The Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival is considered among the most highly regarded and competitive jazz education festivals in the world.

Upon their return, be sure to catch both UNLV Jazz Ensemble I and the UNLV Latin Jazz Ensemble, directed by Uli Geissendoerfer, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 24 in Artemus Ham Concert Hall in honor of UNLV's 60th anniversary, and the release of their latest CD, "Rail Trails/Latin Journey III."

Admission is $10. Discounted tickets are available. All students may receive one free ticket with valid ID. For tickets, visit pac.unlv.edu or call 702-895-ARTS (2787).
