Nuclear energy has played an increasingly integral role in our society. Panelists will look back on developments within the Department of Energy and how advancements in science could affect our future.

• Raymond J. Juzaitis, Ph.D., president of National Security Technologies, has 28 years of experience in management and execution of national security research and development programs and the Department of Energy laboratories. His work covers the full breadth of nuclear weapon program activities.
• Alvin Trivelpiece, former director of the Office of Energy Research within the U.S. Department of Energy, researches plasma physics, thermonuclear systems and particle accelerators. He has several patents on accelerators and microwave devices. He also is the retired director of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and former Executive Officer of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
• Mike Mohar, deputy director of Remote Sensing Laboratory at the Nevada National Security Site, has more than 17 years of experience in nuclear science, engineering and applied technology programs focused on radiological emergency response field operations. He is on the advisory board of UNLV's College of Engineering.
