UNLV is one step closer to completing its new school of medicine.

Just two months after a virtual groundbreaking ceremony, construction crews were pouring the foundation Saturday on the future centerpiece of UNLV’s School of Medicine. When complete, it will be a 5-story, 135-thousand square foot state of the art facility for medical students, across from Valley Hospital on Shadow Lane.

It’s a debate that has divided friends and family, with a fierce but fun question: Is the action classic “Die Hard” really a Christmas movie?
