Ph.D. student Dilara Kara Zorluoglu (Teaching and Learning) published an article titled, “Effects of Computational Thinking Approaches on 8th Grade Students’ Computational Thinking Skills and Knowledge About Climate Change” in the Journal of Science Education and Technology.  
Hikmet Loe (Art History) presented to graduate students in the Meadows School of the Arts, Southern Methodist University. Her lecture, "Robert Smithson’s Nonhierarchical Approach to Knowledge," explored ways that discovery can be enhanced through employing nonlinear, nonhierarchical modes of research.
Amanda Belarmino (Hospitality) addressed the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday September 10 at the Casablanca Resort and Casino. She discussed the tourism climate in Southern Nevada, discussing the decreased visitor volume and the increased gaming number.
Rachel Anderson (Law) authored the first edition of a new textbook, "International, Transnational, and Comparative Business Transactions," through Aspen Publishing.
