The Women's Research Institute of Nevada celebrated the latest cohort of its flagship women's leadership training program at its graduation ceremony on Friday, June 5. In existence for over 20 years, the UNLV NEW Leadership Program has helped hundreds of women who attend NSHE institutions discover, develop, and showcase their leadership skills. This year's cohort of 13 women received training in areas such as public speaking, political advocacy, and networking. The program's capstone was small-group presentations about gender and social media, which the women delivered at their Graduation Brunch on June 5.
