Performance: UNLV Jazz Ensemble I, UNLV Honors Jazz Trio, and Dave Loeb

UNLV Jazz Ensemble I, UNLV Honors Jazz Trio, and director Dave Loeb (all Music) have been invited to perform in the 63rd Monterey Jazz Festival in California in September. The Monterey Jazz Festival is the oldest consecutive running jazz festival and one of the most prestigious jazz events in the world. This will be the third appearance in this acclaimed festival for the UNLV School of Music, Division of Jazz and Commercial Music since 2017. UNLV Jazz and Commercial Music students earned this distinguished honor through recordings submitted for the 2020 Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival College Big Band and Combo Division competitions. They were selected through a rigorous blind audition process, competing among some of the top collegiate jazz groups internationally.
