The UNLV Cyber Clinic has been named a finalist for the prestigious Governor’s Points of Light Award in the Collegiate Community Leadership category. This category specifically honors college organizations or individual students who demonstrate extraordinary achievements through community service and local collaboration in Nevada.
Celebrating five years in existence this fall, the Clinic is a student-led, faculty-directed organization offering cybersecurity services at no cost to Southern Nevada's small businesses. Students gain valuable hands-on experience, developing skills that will help them advance their careers, all while giving back to the community.
The Governor’s Points of Light Awards represent the highest honor bestowed by the Governor of Nevada and Nevada Volunteers to recognize individuals, programs, and organizations demonstrating extraordinary community service, cooperation, and leadership across the state.
The 2026 awards will take place on October 1 at the Paris Las Vegas.
