Dr. Tina Brandon Abbatangelo (Dental) authored “Carceral Systems and Oral Health Access," which explores the high proportion of incarcerated people suffering from untreated dental caries, periodontal disease, and other oral pathologies. The article was published in the April issue of the American Association of Public Health Dentistry within its EDI Corner, which is dedicated to providing resources, perspectives, and action-oriented content regarding equity, diversity, and inclusion in dental public health.
