Dr. Sonal Shah (Dental) and UNLV dental students Anna Harshaw, Rhys York, and Eugene Chon provided oral cancer screenings during the NBA Cares Foundation Total Health event. Along with three Roseman University dental faculty, the team completed nearly 100 oral cancer screenings, and discussed oral cancer prevention and early detection with almost 200 people in the Las Vegas community. Organized by the Nevada Cancer Coalition, the event featured screenings for skin cancer, breast cancer, colorectal and lung cancer, as well as vaccinations and tobacco cessation booths.
