UNLV School of Dental Medicine faculty and students participated in a recent remote area medical event in Pahrump and provided routine tooth extractions, surgical extractions, and front teeth restorations free of charge to approximately 15 children and 110 adults. The volunteering dental students worked more than eight hours during their Saturday and Sunday shifts. Medical exams and vision checks also were provided to people in need. The School of Dental Medicine has been asked to participate again next year.
