Hosted by Sammie L. Scales (Student Diversity Programs), the Let's Talk UNLV Podcast has returned this semester with a continued commitment to amplifying the voices of UNLV students and celebrating the diverse Rebel experience.
Scales launched the podcast with the mission of fostering community, engagement, and belonging among students by providing a platform to share stories, highlight achievements, and address concerns impacting campus life.
The first episode of the semester featured guest Peter Gatto, director of housing and residential life in the Division of Student Affairs. Gatto, who oversees four UNLV-operated residence halls housing nearly 1,800 students, discussed topics including leadership, student development, operational priorities, and community building.
“Student success is at the heart of everything we do,” said Gatto. “From ensuring a seamless move-in to providing ongoing academic support, our team works hard to create an environment where students can thrive.”
Through conversations with campus leaders like Gatto, the Let’s Talk UNLV Podcast continues to serve as a bridge between students, staff, and the broader university community.
