Samantha Coogan (Kinesiology and Nutrition Sciences) has been named president-elect for the Nevada Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Coogan’s many responsibilities will include organizing and leading quarterly and annual meetings, providing guidance about legislative policies, fundraising, advocating that dieticians receive order-writing privileges within clinicals settings, and elevating awareness about the organization throughout the state. Her three-year term as the organization’s president begins June 1.
