The Cannabis Policy Institute at UNLV is honored to announce the institute has been awarded a grant through California's Department of Cannabis Control Cannabis Academic Research Grants Program. The proposal, "Pathways to Partnership with the Tribal Cannabis Market," will help develop partnerships between California state and tribal regulators in the cannabis industry, provide business and regulatory guidance to tribes, and support safety initiatives related to the sale of tribal cannabis. The research will produce consumer safety guidance for tribal cannabis operators as well as analyze tribal-state relationships in Nevada and other states to produce a policy report on pathways for state/tribal cannabis business relationships.
