Rafael Oganesyan (Undergraduate Research) and Christian Jensen (Political Science) had an article, "Compelled Voters and Accountability in Australia," published in the Journal of Elections, Public Opinion and Parties. The authors found that compelled voters are less likely to rely on pocketbook perceptions of the economy when voting for the incumbent.
