Matthew Childs (World Languages and Cultures), Ph.D., received the Metzler-Mews Conference Travel Grant from the American Association of Teachers of German. This competitive award provides funding for scholars to present their work at national and international conferences. This grant will support Childs's attendance at the German Studies Association annual conference in Phoenix, Arizona, where he will present his talk “Race, Colonialism, and Imperialism: Notes from a German Culture Classroom.”
