Researchers at the International Gaming Institute — Ph.D. student Mana Azizsoltani (Hospitality), undergraduate student Cesar Lozoya Martinez (Hospitality), and research scientist Piyush Puranik (International Gaming Institute) — showcased their research at the prestigious GLI Regulators Roundtable 2025, held on April 17 in Las Vegas. The annual event brings together regulators and thought leaders from around the world to discuss innovation, integrity, and public policy in the gambling industry.

Each student presented work addressing critical challenges and emerging trends in the global gambling ecosystem. Puranik presented research on the relationship between casino visit lengths and problem gambling risk, Azizoltani presented findings from a study using bank transaction data that investigates recent financial risks checks in the United Kingdom, and Lozoya Martinez presented his ongoing research on policy recommendations for AI in the gambling sector. 

The GLI Roundtable, hosted by Gaming Laboratories International, is one of the industry's premier regulatory gatherings.
