Lung-Chang Chien (Environmental and Occupational Health) co-authored "Geospatial Analysis of Refugee Access to Primary Care Physicians in San Antonio, Texas," which appeared in the Journal of Immigrant and Minority Health. This study investigated refugee access to primary care physicians (PCP) in San Antonio and used geographic information systems to analyze the ratio of health care providers relative to refugees within varying walking distances. The study findings suggested to build new and more relationships with health care providers where PCPs access is low.
