Dr. Lloyd Jensen (Medicine) and colleagues recently published a study in Transport Dispatch Volume 2 Issue 2 titled, "Effect of a Novel Neonatal Resuscitation and Transport Training Course on EMS Providers’ Confidence and Skills: A Prospective Pre-Post Study." The study highlights a longstanding emergency medical services (EMS) training initiative in Las Vegas developed by a multidisciplinary team from the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV Department of Pediatrics and the Sunrise Children's Hospital Pediatric and Neonatal Critical Care Transport Team. The initiative aims to better prepare paramedics to care for newborns during emergency transport.
Transport Dispatch is the American Academy of Pediatrics' pediatric transport e-newsletter and features peer-reviewed publications focused on transport medicine.
