Le Quanda Cole (Student Success) was selected as one of five National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS) Transfer Champions in the nation—Rising Star Award Winners for 2022. Cole is the the UNLV/CSN Transfer Program director. NISTS recognizes exemplary transfer advocates who are influencing policies, practices, and programs to benefit transfer students. Her concurrent session proposal titled "Walk in Their Shoes, Hurt Your Feet: Understand What Prevents Students from Successfully Transferring to University" was also accepted for the NISTS 2022 In-Person/St. Louis conference experience, Feb. 2-4, 2022. She was also named the 2022 Regents' Undergraduate Academic Advisor Award final nominee. Le Quanda has been selected at the UNLV level for this award and will now be reviewed early next year for the Regent-level award. She was also selected as an Outstanding Administrator from the Academic Advising Council (AAC).
