Buttner (all Environmental & Occupational Health), co-authored an article, "Healthcare Utilization and Expenditures of the Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome in Nevada: A Cross-sectional Analysis (2016-2018)," in the Nevada Journal of Public Health.

The aims of the study were to compare the statewide health care resource utilization and fiscal burden of Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome (NOWS) in Nevada from 2016 to 2018 among newborns with and without a NOWS diagnosis among all-payer pediatric patient discharges.
