Kavita Batra (Medicine), Jagdish Khubchandani, and Refat R. Srejon (Public Health) published an article, “The Greatest Global Public Health Threats in the Post-COVID-19 Pandemic Era,” in the Journal of Medicine, Surgery and Public Health. A panel of 26 coauthors ranked the 19 greatest global public health threats, identifying non-communicable diseases, infectious diseases, poor mental health and substance use disorders, climate change and humanitarian emergencies, and food insecurity and malnutrition as the top five priorities requiring urgent global action.
