Kavita Batra (Medicine) collaborated with investigators from Iran, Abuja, and Italy to publish “Efficacy of Vibro-Medical Foot Orthoses on Gait, Postural Control, and Muscle Activity in Physically Active Young Adults” in the Journal of Prosthetics and Orthotics. This systematic review found that vibro-medical foot orthoses may improve gait, balance, and lower-limb muscle activity by enhancing sensory input from the foot. The findings suggest potential clinical value for improving motor performance and reducing musculoskeletal injury risk in physically active young individuals. This work highlights Batra’s contribution in interdisciplinary, multi-country collaborations that translate rigorous evidence synthesis into clinically relevant insights.
