Judy Ryerson (Theatre),  resident costume designer for Nevada Conservatory Theatre, recently collaborated on the book Introduction to Theatrical Design and Production: A Collaborative Journey published by Waveland Press.

"UNLV developed an Intro to Design and Production class for all majors about 11 years ago," Ryerson said. "It started as a class taught by several faculty in modules. That format was separate and kept the design areas in separate modules. I thought the class should be more integrated between the four design areas. We did not find a text that integrated the material, so I developed one. This is the culmination of creating and editing a course pack each year for Intro to Design and Production . It will be used in all sections of Theater 200 and is available in paperback, online, and kindle versions."
