Dr. James Mah (Dental) was recognized by the Las Vegas City Council as Citizen of the Month for December 2025. The council also declared Dec 3, 2025 as Dr. James Mah Day. Councilman Brian Knudsen, representing Ward 1, presented the honor prior to the regularly-scheduled council meeting citing Mah’s years of caring for Las Vegas residents as an orthodontist, for his dedication to teaching dental students and specialists, and continuing the education for dentists worldwide, for his efforts to advance knowledge within the basic sciences and clinical care through research, and for taking an active role in controlling the stray cat population within his and other neighborhoods.
