UNLV's International Gaming Institute (IGI) hosted the 19th International Conference on Gambling & Risk Taking May 26-28, 2026, at Bellagio. This triennial event is the world’s largest research conference in the gambling field and welcomed over 500 attendees from 26 countries, comprised of academics and researchers, industry professionals, regulators, policymakers, clinicians and treatment providers, lawyers, and more. Keynotes included MIT professor Peko Hosoi, Action Network co-Founder Chad Millman and ESPN analyst Pam Maldonado, and The Smith Center president & CEO Myron Martin, White Horse Pictures co-president Jeanne Elfant Festa, and IGI's Alan Feldman.
Congresswoman Dina Titus joined the conference on Day 1 to welcome attendees to her district, and Senator Rosen honored IGI and the conference with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition.
