Han-fen Hu and Rajiv Kishore (Information Systems) had their paper "Making Knowledge Work: An Activity Theory Perspective on Knowledge Management System Effectiveness in Organizational Work and Online Communities" accepted at the Journal of the Association for Information Systems (JAIS). This paper develops a model of knowledge management system (KMS) effectiveness and hypothesizes non-linear moderating effects of perceived KMS familiarity, facilitating technology, and community interaction principles on the relationship between perspective development and KMS effectiveness. Hypotheses of differential moderating effects based on the cognitive schema sophistication of KMS users were tested using two different samples of KMS users, one using KMSs in business organizations and the other using online knowledge communities (e.g., Reddit, etc.). JAIS is the flagship journal of the Association for Information Systems and an A+ journal in the Lee Business School's SARS journal list.
