The Department of Finance in Lee Business School is pleased to announce that UNLV’s Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance has been approved for the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program, joining a global network of affiliated universities.
The affiliation recognizes the undergraduate program’s alignment with the CFA Program curriculum and its preparation of students for careers in finance and investment management. CFA Institute awards the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, the most respected professional credential in the investment industry.
In its review, CFA Institute highlighted UNLV’s dedicated CFA Level I exam preparation course, comprehensive coverage of ethics, and coursework in investments, fixed income, derivatives, and portfolio construction.
This milestone strengthens the program’s connection to the investment profession and builds on the department’s longstanding relationship with CFA Society Nevada. Faculty and staff who advise students interested in finance careers are encouraged to share this development.
