David G. Schwartz (Ombuds) has been recertified as a certified organizational ombuds by the International Ombuds Association (IOA) for possessing the required knowledge and experience as an organizational ombuds. This certification recognizes Schwartz's continued demonstration of personal dedication, professional integrity, and specialized acumen.

The IOA grants this credential to individuals who adhere to the IOA Standards of Practice and hold a strong knowledge of conflict theory, facilitation abilities, and other relevant skills. By continuing as a Certified Organizational Ombuds, Schwartz aims to further the credibility and quality of service of the Ombuds program at UNLV, and help advance the ombudsman profession as a whole.
