Danny Young (Physical Therapy) has been awarded an Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) R03 grant, Improving Hospital Efficiency: Predicting Post-Acute Care Facility Placement Using Machine Learning and Patient Mobility Scores from the Electronic Medical Record, with his collaborators at John Hopkins. This grant funded at $99,860 will begin immediately and will last for the next year. The project is explained in an article published on the JAMA Network and in another published in the Journal of Hospital Medicine. AHRQ is a federally funded agency charged with improving the safety and quality of America's health care system.
